Bangalore, Pune, Noida, Mumbai are the cities that flash through your mind when talking about the hustling and bustling Metros. IT parks, high rise buildings, cars, and many more commodities have become necessities more or less rather than just luxuries in this modern era of information technology. While these metros reach their point of saturation in the coming days, there obviously needs to be an alternative to industrial resourcing offering not just maximized but favorable conditions too.
As per a survey conducted by ‘The City Mayors Foundation’, an international think-tank on urban affairs, Nashik is the 14th fastest growing city in the world. Sources said that the state government's industrial infrastructure development arm is looking to create a land bank of between 10,000-20,000 hectares in the two cities, Pune and Nashik, with emphasis on the latter to foster IT growth in Maharashtra. Industry experts think Nashik will prove to be the alternative to Pune. "Nashik, with its huge land availability, abundant water supply and connectivity with Mumbai as well as Pune offers an ideal location. Additionally, it is blessed with mild climate like Pune too".
