Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research, Kolhapur today arranged for a training session at their premises to better understand the benefits of the latest system, i.e. Google Apps for Education, implemented in their institute. Shashank Todwal and Anant Bhatia from UMS Tech Labs were present at the CSIBER Campus to conduct the training. The training was also streamed in realtime over Video Conference to V.P. Institute of Management Studies & Research, Sangli who also participated in the training program.
Google Apps for Education Suite is a standard Google Suite (formerly known as Google Apps) but tailored to the needs of Educators. The suite consists of the regular set of apps as enumerated below but with a slight twist:
Inbox space for everything, and no ads
Google Apps for Education offers up to 30GB of storage per user instead of the regular 15GB on free Gmail. It also provides the same powerful spam filtering and a 99.9% uptime SLA. All this is hosted by the same robust Google infrastructure which also hosts commercial google Suite (formerly known as Google Apps). The best bit here is that there’s no cost and no ads for students, faculty or staff.

As you might have already experienced with free Gmail, it is designed to make everyone more productive.
